Close to 25,000 Left Without Electricity in South-East Queensland and Victoria Following Powerful Storms
Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in Queensland's southeast found themselves experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms impacted the region, bringing powerful gusts hitting 109km/h.
Massive Hailstones and Extensive Destruction
Locals reported giant hailstones as large as 7 centimeters in some areas. Weather authorities announced that multiple regions across the state had been affected by large hailstones.

Emergency crews were focused on reestablishing power throughout the affected regions, with approximately seventy teams deployed to address the extensive power failures.
Southern State's Weather Woes
Simultaneously, nearly 1,000 residents in Victoria also experienced energy failures after the capital city recorded its most precipitation in a year and a half.
Emergency response teams responded to 598 emergency reports across the area, primarily for building damage but also for collapsed vegetation and flooding.

- Wyndham - over 175 help reports
At one point on the previous day, in excess of 28k energy customers in the state were without power.
Climate Outlook
Moist weather were expected to linger along much of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was forecast to be the most rainy day, with ongoing storm activity expected across various areas of both regions.
Medical Alert
Medical authorities warned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the current weather patterns.
This caution comes after previous incidents where similar conditions led to major medical consequences in the area.
